The Fishing Report
(Updated 3-1-10)
Counter
Spring is soon upon us and the fishing is starting to act that way.  There are and have been plenty of steelhead in
most of the rivers since last fall.  Some of the fish have started their business on the gravels.  Fishing should continue to
be good as more and more fish are entering the river.  The trout bite has also been there.  Eggs are always a good as
well as some smaller stones as well.  The river levels are still low and clear.  This should change a little this week with
warmer temps expected through the week giving us a little melting run-off.

Fishing pressure is there, but not bad yet.  More and more anglers will be out as the weather warms and more and
more fish become "visible".    Best times to get out are always during the middle of the week.  If weekends are you
have, it's always worth it to get out and enjoy what you can.  For those that can't wait to trout fish, the days are soon
here.  Streamer fishing can produce a trout or too now and should be game as we get into the second half of March.  Late
March-May is a great time of the year to strip streamers for some big trout.

Still have plenty of open dates available if you were still looking for a boat.  Steelhead trips will be done on the PM or
White Rivers with most of the trout action on the PM for now.  Give me a shout if you have a date in mind.
