The Fishing Report (Updated 2-2-12)
|
Happy Groundhogs Day. Looks like Phil saw
his shadow again, claiming 6 more weeks of
winter! I'm not so sure it matters either way with the
Winter or lack thereof we have been experiencing
this year. Outside of only a couple of periods of
slightly colder than normal temps and minimal
snowfall, it has been an extended Fall Steelhead
Season around here. In fact, it has been such a
mild winter, some of the fish have started thinking
about getting their business started. I have seen
more than a couple gravels that have been worked
up a little the last couple of weeks. Even the Robins
have made an appearance this last week. Eggs
are always a popular choice, while some smaller
nymphs have been working as well. The swing
thing will still bring a fish to the net as well. All
methods have been productive.
I am now booking for Spring Steelhead. The end of March through April are the prime weeks to hit. I still have plenty of open dates, email me for any you have in mind. The spring is a great time for fishing no matter what your experience. Book your trip early. Set up your trip early and receive $50 off this month. Pay for it in full and receive $100 off! Send me and email to find out how.
